Outdoor education

Our programs
  • Being surrounded by nature stimulates all our senses, which easily connect us with our emotions. Learning with emotion is the real way to learn, because the experience fixes in the memory with much more detail, since all senses work on its creation. A new experience with a positive emotion, means learning and creating a good durable memory.

  • Facilitates the acquisition of lasting knowledge;

  • Deepens the sense of community, respect among peers and with the environment;

  • Builds self-esteem and reduces discipline and behavioral issues;

  • Boosts the immune system, replaces sedentary habits and counteracts the nature deficit disorder, aggravated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our programs

Our outdoor education programs are complementary to the school curriculum and based on environmental science, astronomy, art, music, yoga, sustainable nutrition, and climate change, among other disciplines.

MEDITATION

Begin each day with a brief session of meditation, designed to encourage relaxation, build positive energy and develop compassion and a deeper sense of community.

EDUCATIONAL TRAILS

Our educational trails involve walks through natural environments with active discussions on:

  • natural sciences,

  • the environment and biodiversity,

  • sustainability and human lifestyle.

  • climate change.

YOGA

A reflective hike to the Yoga Spot is followed by a class tailored for enjoying the benefits of yoga within the context of learning how to live more sustainably.

ASTRONOMY

Astronomy opens our eyes and minds, allowing us to find our context within the universe and changing how we see the world. A visit to our Astronomy center will ensure a fun cosmic experience.

TEACHER TIME

Teachers and their groups of students will have plenty of opportunities to spend quality time in a natural setup.

It will be a good chance for special projects, homework, or a fun review of the day.

Everyone should have their mind blown once a day.
